New members on our easy ride to Treetops

With a lot of the easy rider ‘regulars' testing themselves with longer distances on one, two or three loops, it was great to have two brand new members, John and Oliver join us on our 25 mile easy ride today.

We were also delighted to have Snowy's daughter and her friend out with us, as well as Snowy, Sarah and Pete, who was on a recovery ride after yesterday's time trial. Car parking chaos due to Wilmslow running festival meant we were a little late setting off.

Snowy took the role of back up navigator and Pete looked after the back of the group,. We found a pace that worked well for us and allowed for lots of chatting. Snowy and the girls were first up the hills, with John close behind, but we successfully regrouped after each one.

My rear mud guard came adrift shortly before Treetops, fortunately Pete had a very handy collection of small zip ties. We all ate well at the cafe, and the girls enjoyed visiting the reptile rescue centre based there.

We cycled back via the Whipping Stocks, stopped for a photo on the track next to the polo field, and were back in Wilmslow just after 1.30pm. A glorious spring day and another enjoyable ride!
