Sunday Easy Ride to Grasslands

There were 18 of us out on today's easy ride, but not all in the same place at the same time!

14 of us met at the start point in Wilmslow, and we decided to form 2 groups. Martin led Gawsworth John, Ash (out with us for the first time- welcome!) and me on a slightly shorter route at a gentle pace. John J led a group of 10, including birthday girl, Kirsten, at a slightly faster pace. Our group arrived first at Grasslands, coincidentally at exactly the same time as Yvonne and Phil L who had ridden direct from home. We ordered our food and were sat down by the time the rest arrived, just ahead of a group from Westmead...perfect timing! We gave Kirsten a birthday card and sang happy birthday to her whilst she waited for her cooked breakfast. The slower group set off first, and Brian and Adele arrived just as the faster group departed, so joined them. We were all reunited again back in Wilmslow apart from Brian and Adele, who had anticipated our next move and headed straight to Costa in Alderley. It was a beautiful sunny ride today with just one flood to ride through.
