Just a Ride

 “It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents, except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in Cheshire that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.” (Apologies to  Edward Bulwer-Lytton).

Despite the weather four of us; Stephen, Nigel, Ewan (welcome to the Wheelers Ewan) and yours truly completed the standard route in exactly 2 hours although we opted to skip the descent of Coalpit Lane.

Here's hoping for better conditions next time.
