Beeston Brow Hill Climb Mon 27 May

It’s ON.

Following several nail-biting months of ‘will they, won’t they’ negotiations and thanks to the good offices of Bollington Town Council, the police have now kindly agreed to close Beeston Brow for us on Monday 27 May. That’s Bank Holiday Monday and it’s the last day of the Bollington Festival.

We’re expecting Wheelers to be out in force, competing, marshaling, taking photos, lining the route to cheer on those bravehearts strong enough to tackle one of the most difficult on-road ascents available to a pair of un-motorised wheels in Cheshire.

The race starts at Palmerston Street, goes up the cobbles (note, that means up the cobbles) and along Long Lane as far as Nab Quarry.

Entry on the day only. You must be a member of a cycling club to enter. First rider off at 2.00 pm.

Dedicated webpage with more details coming soon.

The Bollington Festival only comes around once every five years so we’re unlikely to be doing this again until at least 2024. Don’t miss this one!
