Dining at Dunham

Fifteen of us set off this morning for an autumnal easy ride.

A group of ten departed from Broken Cross, but pedalled into heavy rain. Sue and Gawsworth John decided to stop at Barnshaw Smithy and then head home, another two turned back, and just six made it through into the sunshine at Dunham. Five of us set off from Wilmslow just as it started to rain, pedalled out of it, and then back into it at Rostherne. Griff stopped to put on his rain jacket, and the rain then eased off.

We arrived at Dunham with blue sky and sunshine, so dined outside. The Broken Cross group arrived just after our food, so perfect timing. The route back went smoothly until Griff punctured just outside the Honey Bee. The Broken Cross group caught up with us just in time to offer advice on getting tyres back on, and to dispense jelly baby energy boosters. The sun was still out so four of us made the most of it and stopped at the red bus tea room for tea and scones.

Another sociable and enjoyable ride!
