Thirsty Thursday Ride to Dunham

There were 9 of us out yesterday on a sunny and warm 23 mile ride to Dunham Barn, including new rider Rachel, and returning rider Michael - welcome!!

I led whilst Jim and Phil Br looked after the back of the group. We headed out through Morley Green, Ashley and Rostherne, with a few pauses for drinks. The footbridge near Dunham Park has had ramps added either side which made it slightly easier.

Dunham Barn was busy, but there was no queue. Richard, Phil and Michael rearranged a couple of tables on the field so that we were sat together in the shade. It was an idyllic spot apart from one wasp with an unwarranted interest in my teacake.

We took the urban route back through Bowden, Hale, and the logistics park near the motorway, then through the airport tunnels which offered some cool relief. We were back in Wilmslow before 1pm, and the 4 who had ridden over from Macclesfield took the quieter route back together, led by Phil Br.
