Sunday Easy Ride to Dunham

There were 5 of us out on a surprisingly dry easy ride from Wilmslow to Red House Farm at Dunham.

We were well kitted out in full waterproofs and mudguards, with 4 of the group best described as 'team yellow'! The route out took us through Ashley, some large puddles on the back road to Rostherne, Bucklow Hill, then along Chapel Road, closed to cars, but not to us. We then went past the ' Swan with two Nick's, over the footbridge across a very full river, along the side of Dunham Massey Park and finally through Dunham to a very busy Red House Farm. Despite the hoards of families there for pumpkin picking and outdoor play there were seats available in the cafe and the food came relatively quickly. Our route back home took us through the mansions of Bowden and Hale Barns, the air freight logistics park, and the bike path through the airport tunnels. Most of us opted for a few extra miles and the traditional second cafe stop in Alderley Edge at Costa, another good day out!
