Sunday Easy Ride to Davenham

There were 7 of us out on today's easy ride from Wilmslow to Davenham.

We discussed cafe options before we set off and decided to try out breakfast at Riverside Organic, instead of the Marina. Jim punctured after a couple of miles, but after that the ride was incident free. John tested our bike handling skills along a rather muddy and cobbled track at Peover but we all managed to stay upright and on our bikes. The Riverside Organic staff made us very welcome, the cafe was quiet and the breakfasts were good. On the way back Gawsworth John and I took turns dropping off the back, it felt fast, but by the time we got back average speed was 12.5 mph, so not really that fast! Total mileage 32.5 miles on wet roads but no showers whilst we were riding. Next week's ride will be an afternoon ride from Goostrey so that we can help with the road race.
