Sunday Afternoon Easy Ride to High Legh

There were 7 of us out on this afternoon's easy ride from Wilmslow to High Legh village hall.

The sun put  in a welcome appearance as we headed out into a head wind through Mobberley, Knutsford and up through Tatton Park. We arrived, still dry, at High Legh, and then in the words of new member Spencer it was 'all about the cake'...and the trifle, pavlova, sandwiches, sausage rolls... It started raining whilst we were refuelling, so we extended our stay until it eased off. We were just setting off when Mark discovered that he had a flat back tyre. After some time and a demonstration that Aldi pumps cannot get enough pressure into a tyre, we finally departed with a welcome tail wind. The route back took us through Ashley and the airport tunnels, with just one brief shower. 27 miles completed from Wilmslow and lots more for those who rode out from Macc and back.
