Sunday Hilly Winter Training Ride

There was an air of nervous energy as the Sunday training crew headed for the hills for the first time in five months.

The start had the feel of a proper ‘grand depart’ after a couple of us were interviewed for the local media interested in the Wheelers and in cycling around Macclesfield. Ollie, Steve, Matt, Dom, Rich, and me headed out over the Brickworks, Eccles Pike, Peaslow and back over Mam Nick and Cowlow Lane. The undoubted star of the ride was in-form Ollie, fresh from his great TT result on Saturday. Overall a great morning.
