Upcoming Race Events

We’re promoting a number of racing events in the coming weeks and months - come and have a go or see the action!

First up is the 25-mile Time Trial on Saturday 13 April around the J2/9 course that starts near Jodrell Bank and uses the well-worn loop round Chelford - Seven Sisters - A50 - Twemlow Lane and back. Goostrey Village Hall is the HQ.

On Bank Holiday Monday 5 May you can bust your lungs up the Buxton Old Road on our new Teggs Nose Hill Climb. You can still enter this on the CTT Website. Entries close 23 April.

The annual Evening Road Race is on Tuesday 21 May, using the Siddington circuit. This is a great chance to try road racing - entries via the TLI website - or to come and see a local race and help out if you can.

Finally in May, (subject to road closure approval) we’re reviving the club’s famous Beeston Brow Hill Climb in Bollington on Bank Holiday Monday 27 May as part of the Bollington Festival. We’re looking to create that unique hill climb atmosphere on this vicious cobbled climb!

Later on in the summer we’re promoting the J.F. Parkinson Memorial Road Race on Sunday 1 September, again on the Siddington Circuit (and under TLI rules and regulations). This race was first held in 1957 and has become a staple of the road racing scene in the NW. For the second year running, the “Parkinson” is part of the season long Lapierre Series and we are expecting the usual high class field.

Hill climbs are fun, right?
