Wednesday Club Run to Chinley

I did 54 miles at an average of 11.7 mph according to my bike computer (9.9 mph according to my Garmin which was clearly lying and has been put on a charge).

Brickworks, Higher Lane aka Moorside, Disley, New Mills, Mellor Road, Briargrove Road, Hayfield, Chinley, Tea on the Green (well Tea and Baked Beans on Toast in the excellent Cafe actually, which was busy - good thing we booked). After lunch Simon stopped for a haircut (I am not making this up, even if I am a teensy weensy bit jealous) while the rest of us went up The Wash, enjoying its at times 22% gradient, on up Rushup Edge, down past the No Car Cafe (no Cafe Cafe actually as it was closed), Perryvale, Peak Forest, Batham Gate Road, unpleasant bit of A6, Buxton, Long Hill, down the Incline and across the reservoir, whereupon four Righties went up The Street while three Lefties went up to Derbyshire Bridge and back past the Stanley Arms and Macc Forest. I of course was a Leftie.
