Gravel Ride Cheadle

A wet and miserable start to the day soon brightened up.

Only two of us, myself and newcomer Tim, set off on rather a damp and cold start headed for Cheadle and Bramhall along the Middlewood Way. It soon brightened up and despite the puddle strewn tracks we made good progress and enjoyed a traffic free (mostly) route to the lovely Vinerey Cafe in Bruntwood Park, where we enjoyed our choices of omelette and scrambled egg on toast. Very reasonable prices, good food, quick service and stunning views over the park!

A few choice tracks around Heald Green railway station and a short stretch of tarmac brought us to the bridleway around Manchester Airport, then through the lanes to finish off at the cobbles of Bradford Lane and back to Macclesfield at around 2pm.

No gravel ride in two weeks as it is the Circuit of the Edge.
