Saturday Social

A cheerful group of 16 met at Sutton Hall this morning. Delighted to welcome seven new faces out on their first ride with the club. Including two tandems and a very promising junior!

The weather was kind as we departed from Sutton Hall to make our way past the Fools Nook and on through Gawsworth. Taking a steady pace down quiet lanes to Marton with the Sun making a showing.

We returned through the charming North Rode estate where we stopped to enjoy lovely mince pies and flapjacks kindly made by Sue and Phil and a little warm seasonal beverage.

Back over the hills to return to Sutton Hall just after noon for coffee.

We covered 29 km (18 miles) at a steady pace - just over 10 miles/hour. Well done to all and thanks for all the positive feedback - hope to see you out again soon.

(Can’t recall all the names and don’t want to mention some and miss out others so no names in this write up). Thanks to Rachel for the route.
