Wed Club Run to Minshulls near crewe
A wet weather forecast prompted preparation of a hilly and a flat route for Wednesday's ride. Although the weather on the day was a bit damp rather than wet the gathered cyclists (Eddie, Dave, Steve, Mike, Pete and Raph) opted for the Cheshire Plain rather than the hills. And so after a rather circuitous route out of Macc we headed for Minshulls Garden centre near Crewe. Here the generous portions of bread accompanying just about any menu option promised to provide ample fuel to the finish. The route home via Winsford and Middlewich (including some unintended A road sections) took us back to Macc after about 60 miles at around 16 mph.
