Just a Ride

After a quick discussion the six of us (Alison, Ewan, James, Nigel, Stephen and yours truly) headed off into the hills.

Kerridge, Pott Shirley then up the Brickworks followed by the ascent to Pym Chair past Windgather Rocks. Options were then reviewed and Ewan decided to return via Jenkins Chapel whilst the rest of us dropped down to the Erwood Reservoir to ride along the Goyt Valley and up to the Cat and Fiddle where we were treated to the wondrous sight of the sun setting over the Cheshire Plain.

After admiring the view and catching our breath we returned to Macc past Standing Stone and down into Macc Forest, where more photos were taken.

We reached the Park Tavern in time for chips and 'rehydration'.

A great ride; 24 miles, about 2700 feet of climbing through fabulous countryside.

I bet you wished you were with us.........
