Boxing Day Easy Ride to Tatton Park

We had 6 plus 5 plus 5 out on today's pop up Boxing Day easy ride to Tatton Park.

6 of us started from Wilmslow, and two groups of 5 from Broken Cross. The Wilmslow six (John, Jim, Griff, Pat, Adele and me) took a fairly direct route via Ashley and through the Rostherne gate, so arrived first. There were no big queues so we partook of the takeaway catering, and the picnic table type outdoor seating. The Broken Cross groups had a staggered arrival and we exchanged socially distanced Christmas greetings before the Wilmslow 6 departed as two groups of 3, with Griff, Jim and Adele aiming for some extra miles. There were crowds of walkers heading in to the park as we headed out of the Knutsford gate, so we timed it well. It stayed dry on the way back, and we even had time to stop and admire some Christmas decorations. We are tentatively planning to do the usual New Year day ride to Lymm services, details to follow.
