Sunday Easy Ride to Tatton Park

17 of us visited a relatively quiet Tatton Park today.

2 groups set off from Wilmslow , I led Lisa, Sarah, Pat and Alison on the shorter route, whilst John led ‘the boys’ on a longer route. Francis made his own way there, whilst Simon R, Adele and Martin rode from Broken Cross.

It was baking hot in the Tatton courtyard, but early arriver Francis had taken a table in the shade, so several of us went for that option, whilst the sun worshippers cooked.

It was even hotter on the return journey, so my Garmin and I took a short cut, and some shadier lanes. We had several stops, one to photograph the deer, another to give the Garmin chance to tell us which of 3 possible directions was not off course, and a third one when Alison discovered that her wheel had been rubbing on her frame for the last 15 miles. We had completed just 20 miles by the time we got back to Wilmslow, but that was enough given the heat! Meanwhile John's group had gone off route to Seven Sisters ice cream farm, wish I had thought of that option.

See you next Sunday for a whole different sort of weather (probably).
