Sunday Easy Ride to Treetops

12 of us made the most of the good weather on last Sunday's easy ride.

Simon Gr led a group of four from Broken Cross, including Susie, back on her new bike, and now a club member - welcome! They were several mph faster than the Wilmslow departees, so arrived first, followed by Phil, who had left later than planned.

I led a short cut, slower paced group of 3 from Wilmslow, successfully cutting 2 miles off the published route, and arriving 5 minutes ahead of John's group of 4.

Tradition was followed on the return journey, with ice cream for the Macc riders, and a second cafe stop for the Wilmslow group…but with a notable change. We decided to try out the Red Bus tearoom which is very close to our Wilmslow meet point, it passed the tea and cake test with flying colours.
