Sunday Easy Ride to Treetops

16 of us enjoyed some good company and sunshine on today's easy ride.

10 of us started from Wilmslow, so we split into two groups. I took Pat and Damian on the slightly shorter route, at a pace averaging just over 12 mph, past Bate Mill, through Goostrey, across the A50 for a loop which brought us out past Grasslands, and back onto the A50 close to Treetops. 6 riders from Macc were already there and ordered, and John's group arrived just after we had ordered.

The sun came out, it was so hot we had to get a parasol up, the food and coffee were good, and Damian ranked this cafe as the best so far.

We tried out a recently resurfaced bridleway on the way back, a very pleasant alternative for riding to Marthall. My group were back before 2pm, in time for the football, whilst John's group took another hour, having stopped in Alderley for a leisurely coffee.
