Sunday Easy Ride to Dunham Barn

Another good turnout for our easy ride today.

It was great to meet Lisa at the Wilmslow start point, on her first Sunday ride. John J set off first with the faster group, whilst I led Gawsworth John, Lisa and Alison G on the slower ride. I misjudged my speed and we soon caught the faster group. We had to hang back at the next junction to let them get away. I took my usual short cut to remove the Lymm loop and get us to the cafe first. Once again Bury Tandem Club got in before us, they even had a triplet bike. The Broken Cross riders were not far behind us, and John's group arrived about 5 minutes later.

My group had a slightly eventful journey back, thanks to my temperamental Garmin, and a slightly different route to the one we used to do. Gawsworth John saved us with his smart phone, but we still had to do a few U turns. The paper maps might have to come back out!
