The Steady Training Ride Has Restarted

Five of us met up at Broken Cross and rolled out at 6:30 pm. Maybe it  would have been more if some very black clouds wern’t  threatening rain, which it did do for just a few minutes.

There was no wind to speak of blowing though and plenty of daylight so we had a very smooth and pretty faultless chain gang round the (almost) 30 mile circuit arriving back at BX an hour and forty minutes later. Not the fastest by any means but that’s not important,  definitely faster though than any of us would have done on our own. In fact in a good group rotating through and very light winds it felt a lot easier than most recent rides 😀

The roll call was; Jill, Jo H, Pete J, Rich & Fred, all experienced  chain ganger’s so that helps things go smoothly . But the idea of the ride is the experienced rider’s will help those less so and that’s what was lacking. So don’t put it off,  now the light evenings are here get out and do it. It will improve your all round cycling, endurance as well as speed so will help whatever your goals and plans are for the coming season.
