After reveille at 0900 hours, we paused for a photo at this terrific WWI memorial installation at Smithy Green. L to R: Chris, Janet, Phil, John, David, Mark, Carl. Photo: Sapper Andrew R, who nobly stepped up to the photographic plate after my camera disobeyed orders and has consequently been put on a charge.

We established a bridgehead at the new Oakwood Marina cafe in Whatcroft where we consumed our rations (including milk substitute Oatly, most welcome) before completing our tour of duty back in Macclesfield for 1400 hours.
